Kathryn Gifford, manager of the Port Townsend US Bank, presents a check for $2,500 to Janine Boire, the new executive director at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center. This grant from the US Bank Foundation funds the Center's Free Science Classes that benefit over 700 fourth and fifth graders from the North Olympic Peninsula. Students travel to the PTMSC to get their hands wet in the Salish Sea, meet some of the creatures that live there, and get fired up about science.
